Home Alone

Mrs BW and the fledglings have deserted me for the balmy climes of South Wales for a few days, so I am alone and self catering for a bit. There are times, I have to confess, when I think that the peace and quiet of temporary bachelorhood seems quite attractive, but when it comes to it, when the house is actually quiet, apart from the irritating Moonshine on his wheel, I find that I look forward to them coming back. I'm just never satisfied that's my trouble. Ah well I shall just have to make the most of it. I suppose I will just have to go out for a few beers on Saturday night. I mean it would be antisocial not to really.

Bachelorhood for a couple of hours a week would be quite good...

Make the most of it - enjoy a night out. I know what you mean though, I always have big plans when I'm on my own for a night or the weekend. "I'm gonna go see this movie, and go to my favorite restaurant..." and then I end up staying home, watching t.v. and eating a pizza.

You're right. The prospect seems great - peace and quiet and doing what YOU want to do - but you soon start rattling around. It's not as much fun as it's cracked up to be.
Speaking as one who is soon about to do a lot of rattling, have a few beers tonight but savour their return (only don't let them know you missed them).

Kim - if only to appreciate being a family man all the more.

Fiwa - looks like it will be a saturday night out with the lads after rugby. So nothing different there, except that Mrs BW will ot be there to tell me what time I got in and what state I was in.

Reg - Wise words as always. Thing is of course I do miss them.
