I think we should be told

I saw a sign in a shop window in Buxton today that read "Three Days to Go". Nothing else, just that.

Three days till what?

Friday?

The end of the World?

What do they know that we don't? Or perhaps its just me. Maybe I'm the only one that doesn't know what will happen in three days time?

I'll just have to wait I suppose.

You are making the mistake of assuming that the sign had been placed there today.
It was actually put there 3 days ago, and now, not only are you the only one not to know, but you are the only one to whom it has not happened.

You could say "There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know."

Just put another sign underneath saying "...until there's 362 days to go." That'll confuse 'em.

it doesn't matter where one goes the Vicus and Reg bandwagon have already been there - do you 2 have nothing to do all day?

Hello BW how many days now I wonder?

Reg - its confused me but thats not uncommon nowadays.

Ziggi - Hello, depends when you read this. I doubt very much that I will notice anyway what ever it is / was that is / was going to /has happen / happened.
